Portsalon Golf Links was established in 1891 and is one of the founder members of the Golfing Union of Ireland, the oldest golfing union in the world. Originally designed by, Portrush professional Charles Thompson. Redesigned in, 2000 by the renowned Pat Ruddy.

Local Knowledge
  • The 14th hole called the ‘Matterhorn’ is home to a spectacular elevated tee box. Here you will have panoramic views of the whole course and the beautiful surrounding scenery.
  • As Paul McGinley has clearly pointed out and who are we to disagree? The second hole named Strand is truly breathtaking. The Atlantic crashing into the award winning beach on your left and a stream which runs the length of the hole and around the front of the green. Stray at your peril!
